Stripping Chairs

Okay, so stripping furniture is not really fun. It can be very stinky and a major mess. I've started using Citristrip which is much less smelly, but is still a mess. I don't think there really is a way around this. Sanding is the next best possibility, but is a lot of elbow work, not that I don't sand, but sanding to the point that all of the layers of paint are gone, offta!

So, I'm stripping chairs. They came to me with several layers of paint. The top layer was cream, then a tan, then, it looks to me, like a mint that was poorly removed as the bottom layer. My goal is to couple them with my dropleaf farm-style table which looks beat up and aged on the table top and has black legs. I will combine the two looks in the chairs as well. I can't wait to see how they change!
